Abstract

Efficient management of medical records at Puskesmas is crucial to improve the quality of health services. The electronic health information system (SIKE) is present as a solution to overcome various challenges in recording and managing patient data that is still manual. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SIKE in optimizing medical record management in Puskesmas. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis in several health centers in urban areas. The results show that the implementation of SIKE improves efficiency in recording, accessibility, and security of medical data, as well as reduces the risk of errors in diagnosis and treatment. The implication of this study is the need to increase the capacity of human resources and adequate infrastructure support to ensure the sustainability of the system.
